When we went to find the perfect infant car seat, it took several trips to the store and much research. We took the same care when we were switching from the infant car seat to a toddler car seat. It had to fit the car, pass all the proper safety test and be comfortable for my daughter to ride in for hours.
To be honest, we did not take this much are when switching to a booster seat. One day, we looked in the back seat and said: “Wow, she’s way too big for that seat.” The next thing you know, we droved to the closest big box store and picked up a booster seat.
We did no research and probably spent a total of 45 seconds picking out a booster seat. In hindsight, we should have spent at least 5 minutes with a quick google search on our phones.
Please do not make the same mistake. If you have a 4-year-old who is about to get promoted to a booster seat, head over to Cars.com and check out the post What’s the Best Booster Seat for 2017? to find the perfect booster seat for kids ages 4-8 years old. Don’t make the same mistake we did.
By the way, we eventually did upgrade to a quality booster seat for her.
Did you do a lot a research when looking for a booster seat?
